Since 2021, I have served as  your Carolina Beach Councilwoman. I have been a community volunteer since the age of 17.  I am very active as a volunteer in our community for various organizations, as well as being a founding board member of the local non-profit Pleasure Island Habitat/Pleasure Island Disaster Relief Fund.

 I was born in Norfolk, VA but, grew up in rural Cabarrus County, North Carolina in a small town called Mt. Pleasant. I am a wife, a mom to 3 amazing adults and 3 rescue pups, a grandmother (YaYa) to one awesome little girl and 3 pups and a kitty.  I retired this year after 20 years of being a successful business owner.

I have been a "beach girl" my whole life and it was always my dream to someday live at the beach. Someday happened when my husband Butch and I made the decision that Carolina Beach would be our forever home in 2003. I got here as soon as I could and never left!

I grew up as an athlete playing baseball, basketball and softball.  I was one of the first girls to play little league baseball in my hometown. I started coaching youth sports at the age of 17 and continued to do so until 2014 when our youngest graduated high school.
